Our Meir is turning three! At this milestone, his upsherin, he begins to step into mitzvos and midot, a path of good deeds and light.
If you know Meir, you know he is pure joy. The boy whose laughter bounces through every room. A silly goofball with a smile so wide it lights up his whole face — and everyone else’s. He cracks jokes and can make anyone laugh, even the most dry and bitter. He bounces through life with endless energy. But alongside the joy he brings, is also a heart of compassion. If another child cries, Meir is the first to notice, to share, to comfort, to make sure no one is left out.
How befitting for the boy named ליאור מיכאל מאיר, the boy that has “light” in his name 2x.
The Baal Shem Tov taught that the prayers and voices of children reach straight to Heaven. Their purity, their joy, their kindness — they are what sustain us, and what brings light into the darkest corners of the world.
So in honor of our Meir — who already embodies this light, we want to celebrate not with presents, but with purpose. We are raising funds for orphans in Israel, children who need the love, joy, and hope that Meir so naturally gives.
To give in Meir’s honor is to join in his laughter, his compassion, and his light. No child should walk this world without comfort, without joy, without someone to stand beside them.
Thank you for helping us celebrate Meir’s upsherin by spreading his light to children who need it most
