For children with disabilities, when the school day is over, the challenges are just beginning. Since many
of these children struggle with transitions, need a clear routine and require support for basic daily living
activities, the lack of an afterschool structure can wreak havoc on their own emotions — and those of
their family members, as well!
Our afterschool Care Center provides a stable, supportive, and enriching environment for these special
children. The professionally-trained staff guides them through individualized activities that strengthen
their social, communication, and emotional skills. For parents, the Care Center is a critical source of
support, allowing them to care for their family at home, knowing that their child is in a warm, safe,
happy setting where they can grow and thrive.

At our afterschool care centers, children participate in group activities tailored to their abilities,
including enrichment programs such as animal-assisted therapy, a Snoezelen room, music, gymboree,
and balloon play. Each day follows a structured schedule with an opening circle, sensory activities, social
and imaginative games, dinner, and personal care — all designed to spark curiosity, strengthen social
and communication skills, and boost confidence while having fun.
