Weekend Care Centers

For children with disabilities, school vacation days – Fridays, Shabbos, holidays and Erev Chag – mean
long, unstructured hours that can feel lonely and emotionally straining. And for their parents, having to
care for their child continuously, with no break at all, can make it difficult for the entire family to
function.
Ezrat Achim’s Weekend Care Center addresses this challenge by providing children with a warm,
structured, and enriching environment. The dedicated volunteer staff engage each child in individualized
developmental activities, under the guidance of professional supervisors. The children enjoy quality
time and a hot, nutritious meal or Shabbos/holiday seudah, while parents receive a much-needed break
to spend time with the rest of their family – knowing that their child is in a safe, nurturing place.
